Our Turkish pottery is hand made by pressing lumps of clay into molds. As a result each piece is unique with natural creases formed as lumps of clay are joined. This pottery is designed for a natural, ancient look. As a result, pieces may have imperfections, including slight chips which result from the hand-made approach used by the artisans. This pottery is medium fired, making it harder than terra cotta, but not as hard as our Malaysian ceramics. We recommend that our Turkish pottery be stored indoors during the winter.
